August 26, 2016 — the day I paid WordPress and setup this blog. And we launched into it head first with tons of posts that year from me and, especially, Oliver Gladfelter who is still the most published contributor to the blog (aside from me) with 24. He’s followed by Zach Broeren (12), Alex Lazo (10), Gus Hoffmann (9), Siobhán Mitchell (9), Sarah Mckenzie (8), Eric Buehler (7), and then Abby Zofchak, The Darian of Harrington, Max Dehon, Maggie Miller, Will Duquette, and Jacob Dennen (all with 6 each). All the added effort on my end was worth the price to work with them (and others not named, but listed on our contributor page – yes, I know I need to update it).

It has gotten harder to grab students’ attention since 2016, especially when students exited Facebook and there is no accessible social media group for the student body. Yeah, I’m not counting Yik Yak. We’re still getting thousands of hits a year, though.

But some posts have seen a lot of traffic over the years, especially Oliver’s creation up top. Here are stats for the top 15 posts.

I’m excited for another year of 127. I have a couple of students lined up to do this work for credit (an 4 credit upper-class independent study in Data for Political Research). They have cool ideas and it’s always fun in an election year. Thanks for reading.
